So… I did a thing.
I livestreamed for 1,119 hours. Now, that's not the world's MOST hours, but for me, a part-time streamer and creator, it was a LOT! I survived, I thrived, I ugly-cried, and now I’m here to tell you: was it worth it? Well… yes, no, yes, maybe, still no… but kinda yes.

But I also wanted to give you, my email fam, the quick & dirty version. If you’ve ever even slightly thought about livestreaming, or you are newer to it—or just love learning from other people’s chaos—this one’s for you.
🎥 6 brutal (but valuable) lessons I learned from 1,119 hours of livestreaming
1️⃣ It’s harder than you think.
It looks glamorous (bangers, overlays, adoring fans). Reality? Fixing OBS crashes, brushing wigs, setting up lights, pinging Discord, streaming to 3 people (2 of whom are you). Streaming is a skill and a hustle.
2️⃣ Success is showing up, not blowing up.
You’re gonna stream JUST to PicklePapi69 for months. Consistency is the game. Not algorithms. Not fancy gear. Showing up over and over until your self-doubt gets tired of fighting you.
3️⃣ It will wreck you, then rebuild you.
Streaming will wreck your ego, test your tech patience, and force you to grow. You’ll say “Is this thing on?” to your mic a lot. But you’ll also heal something inside you that you didn’t even know was broken.
4️⃣ It won’t make you rich.
Streaming is not your private island money maker. Kombucha money? Maybe. Think of it as one income stream—not the stream.
5️⃣ Everybody sucks at first (and nobody cares).
Be cringe. Be awkward. Be sweaty. Just go live. Every streamer starts as a mess. Give yourself permission to suck publicly.
6️⃣ You’re never too late to start.
Over 40? You’re just early for the rest of your life.
